Accessibility Statement

    NappyTi.me is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, reduced motion, or high contrast. This page documents what we've done, what we're still improving, and how to reach us if something on the site is getting in your way.

    1. Our commitment

    We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the U.S. Access Board (Section 508), the European EN 301 549 standard, and most major public-sector procurement rules. Not every page meets every criterion yet — this page is where we're honest about the gap.

    2. What's currently in place

    • Semantic HTML — every page uses landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) and a single <h1>.
    • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable with Tab, Enter, and Space. Focus rings are visible and not suppressed.
    • Screen-reader labels — icons that carry meaning have aria-label attributes; decorative icons are hidden from assistive tech.
    • Color contrast — body text on the dark background meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 AA ratio. UI accents use a token system so contrast is maintained across theme picker options.
    • Reduced motion — animations respect prefers-reduced-motion where implemented.
    • Responsive layout — the site is mobile-first and tested down to 320px width; text reflows without horizontal scrolling.
    • Form labels — every input has an associated label; error messages are announced to screen readers.
    • Skip links & landmarks — assistive tech can jump to the main content area.

    3. Known gaps we're working on

    • A small number of decorative background animations don't yet fully respect prefers-reduced-motion in all browsers.
    • The ambient audio player controls have adequate labels but the visual affordance could be clearer at small breakpoints.
    • Some legacy diagrams inside older guides lack extended text descriptions and are being upgraded to inline SVG with <title> and <desc> elements.

    These items are tracked and being addressed on a rolling basis. If any of them are actively blocking you, please contact us — we'll prioritize accordingly.

    4. Assistive technologies we test with

    Our routine manual checks cover:

    • VoiceOver on macOS Safari and iOS Safari
    • NVDA on Windows Firefox / Chrome
    • Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox
    • Browser zoom at 200% without loss of content or function

    5. Third-party content

    Some parts of the site — for example, embedded product recommendation cards or ad units — are provided by third parties whose accessibility we do not fully control. We choose partners that publish their own accessibility statements and we flag issues to them when we spot them.

    6. Reporting an issue

    If something on NappyTi.me isn't working for you — a control you can't reach, text you can't read, an animation that's making you queasy, an icon that isn't labeled — please tell us:

    We aim to acknowledge within 3 business days and resolve or provide a workaround within 15 business days for anything that meaningfully blocks access.

    7. Formal complaints

    If you are a resident of the United States and believe NappyTi.me is not meeting its accessibility obligations, you may also contact the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line at 1-800-514-0301. In the EU, you can raise the issue with the enforcement body in your member state.
